It was yesterday late night that I decided to change my blog songs .
This time I am putting up songs on my favourite movies...
The first song"what a wonderful world" is by Kenny G The second song is called :"Looking through the eyes of love.." I remembered playing this song when I was in the school band..it was the most romantic song I ever played during school band days. I was a clarinet player.
Remembered I told you that I wanted to be a music teacher? I guess, music is in my blood, heart & soul . I can remember the tune and play straight on the keyboard complete with the chords as well...I always like to try any songs in the band room before rehearsal started
I remembered my Bak bought our home 1st gigantic musical instrument (We have, guitar, ukelele, flute, clarient, trumpet, harmonica, small keyboard)..this is the biggest: Piano --brand -STROUT from England, I guess in 1980....It was bought for the reason of getting my little sister, Nur to learn it..but ended up me who is actually into the music business. Another person in my family who is musically inclient is my sis, Yati.. she plays the flute and took her lesson with Yamaha music school . Everyweekend if we have time, we would make music together, Kakak plays the flute, Bak strum the guitar or ukelele and Me on the piano..we love playing English, Malay and Indonesian songs..And when Bak accompanied me and Kakak with his guitar or Ukelele..we played KERONCONG...it was real cool and fun..Bak sings Keronchong too...
As for myself, I picked up the piano ...self taught before I seriously took up the lesson only when I was 17yrs old???I finished grade 4 in theory and practical under the London Royal Music School..wow! It was quite and experience having to play infront of the English invigilator from London, for the pratical exams . It was nerve wrecking experience!!! Afterwards when I turned 20yrs old, I worked for Yamaha Music School for 2yrs before I switched my career to travel line and there I realised that Travel line is my choice of career .
Back to the song "Looking through the eyes of Love" taken from the movie "ICE CASTLE"(Its about a skater falling in love with blind ice skater.....very the romantic, kan?) -original singer by Melissa Manchester....you must listen to the lyrics its good....see YOUTUBE for more details of the songs!
..this is the only song till today that I can still played by heart even though I lost
MS STROUT 3yrs ago due to my LIFE PROBLEM....I actually missed MS STROUT very much as she was with me almost 25years ! I had few composition with me through her...3 ~ 5songs I had composed before..(I couldnt retrieve it as I lost my music book while doing packing for moving out)
She was given away to a close friend and I hope her daughter learned well and treat her well too,,,I have missed Miss Strout very much....I wonder if I can find a replacement???
