Bak complaint of unwell this morning as he was coughing with blood again..He has been in this state since last 2days but reluctant to go and see the doctor. This morning, as he was coughing profusely with blood, we decided to admit him to G.H..
Today, I had my leave as I had to run few errand at my Little Cottage..Firstly, awaiting for ELKEN service man to change my water filter and 2ndly, doing up a liitle dinner for my special invitation guest at 8pm...Everything went a little out of schedule as I have to take over my sis, Salamah duty to admit Bak.
The original plan for my leave is suppose to be waiting for the service man to fix the filter, have a glimpse at Laura Ashley sale at Isetan Scott, last minuter grocery shopping at Holland V, cold storage and preparation of dinner.
As soon as the Elken service man left, I rushed to G.H to take over my sis duty...It was after 2hrs still my Bak was not admitted....that was nearly close to lunch at 12pm already!
I took Mak for lunch and waited at the cafeteria for my Bak to call for the admission.....
Truly enough, even after 2hrs later, there isnt any bed for Bak....Emak & myself was so sleepy...Eventually 4hrs later,almost close to 4pm, we finally got Bak to admit... Phew !
Mzul, rang to tell us that he has arrived home and has been waiting outside the door...I rushed Emak home, went to get the grocery and rushed home to my Little Cottage and start my preparation for the dinner.
It has been ages since the last time I cook was during last year Hari Raya Puasa when I had a small party for my close friends...That was Johore Laksa and I love it!
I picked up my cooking skill when I was away for 11years with only TRIAL & ERROR lesson that Emak gave us...Despite I was from a HomeEconomics class during my secondary school..never really practice it at home as Emak dominates the kitchen..she is the Queen of the cook..Emak is a very good cook and I admire her capability. Our lesson away from home was through the telephone after which we did trial & error kind of experience.
I must say that I am proud of myself over the years that I managed to make my X happy with my cooking without any complaint...(its a memory now)..From noodles, varities of dishes and Hari Raya special dishes, I have tried...and sometimes couldnt believe that I have done well!:)
The menu for the night was Mee Soup, Fried Popiah & Ayam Berempah....it was such a rushed preparation for the evening.. I was panic at first but was lucky enough that Karen came early to my rescue for helping me folding my popiah...I remembered during the O level exam for HomeEconomic, we have to prepare cooking at least 8-9dishers in 3hours time...Looking back I managed somehow even I did not gain a good credit for this subject.
Guest came on time....everyone enjoyed and final closure was serving Hagen Dazz ice cream, with chocolate top, strawberry and almonds nuts....yum yum! Yus was there to assist setting up my Leno , sharing Meleluca with Karen & Linda. After the guests left almost 12midnight, me & Tiara catch some beginnings with Winter Sonata...it failed as the T.V was watching us...
